Jun 2020: Belorusneft has discovered 2 light oil fields (Izbynskoye and North Omelkovichi) in the Khoiniki district of the Gomel region. The fields lie in the central structural zone of the Pripyat Trough. Seven exploration wells are planned here from 2020 to 2023.

Feb 2015: Belarusneft has discovered a new oil deposit in the Rechitskoye field in Gomel Oblast. The well was drilled as part of follow-up exploration of existing oil fields. The well will begin production immediately and there are plans to drill 4 further development wells and one injection well.
